This is a review of Bare essentials Faux Tan Self Tanner. This is just my opinion! I am wearing: Face- Korres foundation WRF3 with wild rose serum, MSF Natural powder to set, Laguna bronzer, NARS multiple Tuomota contour, Stark Naked Blush and shell CCB by MAC Eyes-Painterly Paint Pot, MAC eye shadows- grain, brule, wedge. I tried St Tropez (lotion not the mousse), I had a terrible reaction in face and neck. I broke out in hives and my face was extremely dried for around eight days. The color was nice but on the third day.I had tried numerous self-tanners. I just had this allergic reaction with this one and Savage (discontinued).
HAHA!! I looked up the Bare Minerals Faux Tan and look who is reviewing it!! LOL! Love you Lisa! A trick I learned was to take a Q-tip after applying and dab it in water and wipe off any dark area’s on your skin, such as freckles, ect and then you wont get that darker area look!
@lacyjaney ive herd that no it has no sunscreen from multiple places, go to QVC.com they have a great deal on it right now for a huge bottle with a buffer brush to apply, works great on body btw ive seen and used
Ive personaly herd that it has no sunscreen in it just to let everybody know

I wonder if it has sun screen in it. I’ve read several reviews and site comments and haven’t seen anything about it having sunscreen in it. Guess I could contact Bare Escentuals ;)
@LORIL8066 I do one or the other- depends on the look I am going for. In summer I put it on before my makeup because I want a darker look.
Lisa did I hear you say you put this on under your makeup and wear throughout the day? Never thought to try that. I usually put mine on at night before bed. I am having the same prob you had with St Tropez. Love it on my body, but on my face it darkens my sunspots/freckles super dark. Looks horrible. So I want to try this one now, just wondered if you wear under your makeup. Thanks:)
@Norms3000 it reacts differnt with everyones skin- that is the hard part with self tanners- St Tropez is the most universal
Lisa am planning to buy this product but I don’t know if it will leave me orange. I want something natural and brown. Am very fair. Does this tanner leave a orange tint or brown.?

yeah i know, but i live n the netherlands…. its hard for me to buy it online…on every website..even on their own its sold out…so i was wondering if this is a good alternative for my face, because the moriz makes my skin itchy and flakey and dry
I actually now tend to use my Sun Love self tanner on my face!

i have the st moriz but it fades very fast on my face and i got an allergic reaction on my face and it even broke me out, it also made my face really dry and my face got al flaky itchy and burning…or could it be that i used an agressive scrubbing lotion and that i rubbed the mouse on with a normal black sock XD …i have sensitive skin btw
i like it on my body, it just doesnt work on my face:(
if you are looking for a color in your face i would say the BE one! :o) St Tropex is better for the body!

I have been a longtime faux “tan a holic” and was so upset when my favorite self-tanner (L’oreal Sublime for the face) was discontinued. Have you ever used that one? Wondering how you would compare it to Bare Essentials? From your reviews I’m torn between St. Tropez and Bare Essentials…which one do you prefer in terms of non-steaking and natural color? Thanks!!
does it make your lips fuller? i’m getting this color but i’m very glad that you put this video on so i can be sure how this color really looks like. but i’m being skeptical about the plumping effect :)
This is my favorite lip gloss but im on my third one in the past year and i dont wear it everyday. But it’s worth it to me and i have the shade katie its amazing!
They are long and take forever to finish I like the tingling on my lips, very moisturizinga nd I wrote makeup reviews about it on makeupalley the makeup webiste and hair, I have the clear color over $20 bucks, but the dollars and prices are worth it
@riosf17 You can get them at Sephora…also you can get them at the boutiques and Ulta till next year then they become exclusive to Sephora.

Thanks for making this-I have gotten buxoms cheaper on ebay, and on sales. I like Ruby, Amber, Bianca, Celeste, Clair, Destiny, Pixie and the new Lisa. and I have many more. I don’t ever pay the full price though. Nice video, thanks again!
I just got one and I hate it. It burns the hell out of my lips and it immediately settles in the lines in your lips. YUCK!!! Never Again!

I love the buxom lips. Those are my favorite plumpers because they’re feel minty and they don’t sting like most plumpers. I have like 15 of them, some are minis but I love them all. They come in such gorgeous colors. Some of my favorites are Destiny, Amber, Celeste, Katie, and Sandy, and Ruby.

you could try the new maybelline xl lipgloss…those claim to plump (not sure if it does,..i dont see anything)…and it has the same minty feeling and they’re really,dunno if this makes sense, but they’re sheerly pigmented…they don’t ovrepower with colour but the colour does show…i love them! i have 3!
I recommend L’Oreal Color Riche lip gloss. They have others, but the Color Riche is best. Colors are soft, sheer and shimmery and the texture is dreamy; smooth like silk. About $7 bucks at CVS or Walgreens; I wait for buy one get one free sales…hope this helps! Monique
