Magic decal paper for ceramics

Magic decal paper can be used on ceramics and the designs created can be dishwasher proof. There are quite a few stages to using this paper but all of them are easy. You do need to test it before you use it. Follow all the stages and then put in the oven for approx 8 minutes to make it safe for the dishwasher. We do advise this paper shouldn’t be used for commercial purposes.

@beebeej1 Our inkjet water-slide paper hasn’t been designed to be baked in an oven.
If you are looking to make the inkjet paper more durable we would suggest over coating the applied decal with an acrylic spray, or similar varnish.

can the inkjet paper be baked to be more durable?

@beebeej1 Our magic decal paper can only be used with a laser printer.
If you only have access to an inkjet printer then you will need to use our inkjet water-slide paper.

@Jippo6 We wouldn’t recommend putting your design into the oven twice, as this could overheat the decal and cause problems with it sticking to the surface. If possible we would suggest applying both decals onto your plate at the same time so that the plate only needs to go into the oven the once.

… I also want to know if i can put the decal paper in the oven twice.. as i want to put another design on under the plate or should i do it at the same time? Thanks

@juppiterd If you are using a domestic oven you would need to put your oven on its hottest temperature setting. This does vary depending on which oven you are using and really does need a bit of testing on your part to get the right finish.

which is the oven temperature needed?

@brocksmoma Ideally these are for decoration only and we can’t advise them being used when food would touch them, i.e plates. Mugs would be fine as the liquid is inside and not touching the transfer itself.

I love it but I have a question…..can these be safely used or are they for decoration only??
