This is a 20 minute install at the most.

  7. drewyokota says:

Should have shown more of actual removal and install. Otherwise rest of video was good. Unfortunately the parts you left out are the whole reason for the video. Not well thought out.

  8. rexlucero says:

Thanks, you gave me the basic idea. For netative comments, they can pay someone to have it install.

  9. duckitsgoingtohurt says:

To the people making all the stupid comments. If you need to see more info than what is shown you really have no business trying it yourself. Get someone to install it for you. Some people should not pick up a screw driver much less a power tool.

What is the minimum amount of space required between the cooking surface and the bottom of microwave? I want to install one but only have about 16 inches from the top of my range to where the bottom of the microwave will be.

This microwave is a pain to install, especially when dealing with the power cord. One must take care in an effort not to pinch the cord and tear the sheathing.
As a final note; this microwave is extremely problem prone. Air leaks from the rattling top front vent and causes massive grease buildup. The hood light gets very hot and extractor fan is loud. Microwave has two year warranty and you WILL need it. Mine broke in a year and a half. Piece of junk!

THANKS…loved the tips (like drilling into stud and using wood screws) and loved seeing what the old bracket looked like. Home Depot wants $99 to install one of these.

You failed to show removing the old unit.

  18. ilovejoomla says:

okay, I couldn’t help adding this last comment – if you are a one man or one woman show, just stack books on the range to act as a platform for removing or installing the microwave. That is what they made encyclopedias for right?

  19. ilovejoomla says:

Just a question, is there an ordinance or some kind of safety requirement for the amount of clearance between the burners and the bottom of the microwave?

  20. ilovejoomla says:

Thanks HighT3chDad! Great video! I assume there are faceplates covering up the brackets on all of these. To remove the microwave, all one has to do is just Google the old model number, and look at the manual for crying out loud! I’m a non-mechanical woman and if I can figure it out with this video that makes all the other negative commentors either children or nimwits or worse, Flamers. I suspect most are nimwits. Thumbs up to mocha0030, I agree.

  21. SuperAlula says:

oh God i agree wit every negatives

  22. mocha0030 says:

i’m amazed at all the stupid comments here. the name of the video is how to INSTALL, not how to REMOVE.

  23. HighT3chDad says:

@rizvif No problem. Unfortunately I’m on the West Coast (and by far, not an expert at installations). Be sure to have someone help you because microwaves are heavy and awkward. And it helps having 2 brains work on the problems ;)

  24. rizvif says:

@HighT3chDad I do agree with you however is that people do not need to be so negative. I believe your intention is good :-). But thanks for the quick reply.

The reason I was looking was because I want to install my own. You don’t happen to be in Houston TX do you?? You could just come and do mine as well
    :-)
