I replace Nuwave crack dome plastic every 6 months, it no good it cost me total 25.00 dollar it is cheap plastic! so I brought Big Boss Rapid Wave Oven it is pure glass bowl is better , and low- energy oven rated 1,300 watts than nuwave’s 1,500 watts..

I bought one of these last year and took it right back the very next day and got a full refund. It completely destroyed a full chicken and i followed the instructions perfectly. It took almost 3 hours to partially cook it. BIG mistake.

@letscrawl1 yes. When it reaches the desired temperature the light will go off. It will go back on to maintain temperature.

I don’t understand how it can be said to cook quicker, if you’re expecting it to take 1-1/2 hours? it doesn’t take me 1-1/2 hours to cook a chicken, in a regular oven. It takes about 1/2 hour – 1 hour, depending on what I’m doing with it, so, if the halogen oven can’t whip it out in 15 minutes – 30 minutes, it’s dead to me. But, that being said, I love your voice.

I have had one of these ovens since end of November 2010. (less than 3 months)
and today i’d just cooked some oven chips in it, took the hot chips out and tipped some more frozen chips in it to cook. The glass bowl cracked.. So it is only cheep glass and not made of Pyrex. So if you guys do buy one of these ovens – remember to let them cool before the next lot of food is cooked.

@ojideagu fair point – my own kitchen (in Scotland) is a reasonable size so I may feel different if it was smaller.

@nevnet My mother is selling hers after one use lol Not because of it’s cooking but because her Kitchen is small and the light gives her headaches. In a Big Kitchen it’s probably not a problem. And Americans have much bigger Kitchens too on average.
