One could use coal, antracite or coke would be among the best and cheap burning materials!
Also kerosene has a high calorific value> 11100 Kcal/kg!
I was thinking about this method because these sons of bitches gas companies don’t stop in raising prices for methane gas!

nice kit, can i suggest putting a 2 inch layer of sand in the bottom of lower barrel, keep it in there and top up occasionally, will greatly extend the life of the barrel and protect it from burning out too soon, also wrapping a 1inch pipe around the barrel will give u free hot water. cheers

Only problem I see with this… is that any 55 gallon burn barrel I have ever had… it rusts out and burns through in like 2 seasons.

sory for my engles i can do this stove from a pice of pipe 300 mm pipe and maybe i can uzet for longer time and go true this pipe 10 pies of 2 inces pipe and one ventiletor and so can send the air in anather room

Nice video. Very educational. I always wondered what the true use was for the second barrel, and my theory was proven right. I especially liked your mod of adding the extra air intake on the bottom. I’m going to try that when I make mine and see how it works for me. My garage needs a good heater and this will be a great one for it.
Shopping around, I found 2 barrels for $10 each and the Vogelzang double barrel kit was only $75 on Amazon. Mine will only be about $95 +tax.

Really appreciate your channel, especially this video. I’ve recently made my own, and I’m interested in adding the 2″ nipple as you have done. You used galvanized…which has noxious fumes if burned…did you just burn it out outside before using inside? Will that remove the galvanized coating?
I have seen them advertises a cabelas for a single around 50 dollars
